I began playing almost a year ago. It was the first week in November in 2005. Not a month after that I joined Midwinter Equinox. I had made a few alternate characters and had played around with the various classes but I loved being a rogue and going to Verity Isle into the Tower of Riga.
Rogues have the best questing and tourming skills: track, snare, peek, steal, backstab, dagger, hook, sneaking just to name some of the best. Rogues get decent hit points that when combined with backstab allow them to mob in higher leveled areas. I’ve often got the statement, “I didn’t know rogues could tank so well,” or “I didn’t know a rogue could solo so well.” Having only second attack (three attacks with haste) as opposed to third attack can be a slight drawback to betters though. It takes more kills to get a better than a player who starts out with a class that has third attack (four attacks with haste).
Elggs was a second classer then and had done a ton of quests. I was poking around Tellerium and talking to people and being annoying. Somehow I got to talking to Elggs and we talked about Midwinter Equinox. I had seen Elggs before with my alts and knew that he had done around thirty five hundred quests back then. I was interested in practices. He talked to me about doing one thousand quests and about Midwinter Equinox’s clan hall.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted but I did think that doing one thousand quests first class was insane. I didn’t even know if it was possible. I began to do my quests in Templeton and the more I did the more I liked them. I joined Midwinter Equinox because of Elggs and because of where the clan hall location was.
I began doing a round of quests (a round is the five quest limit in six hours) and then between rounds going to the Tower of Riga at Verity Isle. I loved Verity Isle and have often called it my second home. It’s peaceful with a lot of mobs to kill. You get good scatters along with tourmalines to deposit for use with multi-classing or to sell. A tourmaline is worth a thousand gold pieces. That was my routine. I would quest a round, go to Verity and load up on tourms, and then quest another round, and go back to Verity.
I found scatter after scatter that were mostly manuals and the rare orb of vandemaar. I never used the manuals or orbs as I preferred to sell them for gold. By the end of my one thousand quests first class I had enough gold to pay cash for my home in New Rigel, buy the decent first class equipment (necronomicon, eye of kraken, spell book of the wizard of focault) and have a good chunk left over.
I began to climb in rank in the clan. I began to recruit people with a lot being new players. Some have stayed and have become clannies. Others were like shooting stars that streaked across the sky and off to other adventures. We have been rebuilding the last few months. We thinned out some of the alternate characters and have booted some of the inactive characters. Some of the new players have multi-classed and are putting on muscle. Some of our new players are fleshing out as first classers. Some of our inactive players have started to become more active again. My multi-class is coming soon and Elggs has recently dived into fourth class.
I’ve been luckier recently to get some good recruits. Geeze, an old friend and hero, has joined Midwinter Equinox. I’ve gotten some promises from some other higher leveled players as well. I have a few spots open and have talked to both higher leveled players and newbies about joining.
I think a lot of players underestimate Midwinter Equinox. Daulf, Elggs, and I are all ranked players with rank being not easy to achieve and maintain. The clan hall located at the bottom of Lake Martoon is primo real estate being both important to first class Templeton questing and to last class activities. We like to socialize and see each other grow and progress. We help each other when we can or give advice (sometimes good and sometimes useless) when we can’t actually help.
I was very fortunate to join Midwinter Equinox. It has helped me to see that I am more than just another player in the mass. I am a leader. I could have gotten where I am now on my own yes, maybe, but having clannies to lean on has helped me to grow more than I knew I could. Having someone to depend on me and my information has given me a good boost of confidence as well. I have faults and can be a braggart at times but I’m accepted here and I cheer when my clannies brag on their characters. I hope they all become heroes.

Love Struck Verity
"Are you ok?" Valhalla asked. Moonbeamer looked away from the bracer that encased her arm. Wiping a tear from her cheek she hoped that Valhalla couldn’t tell she had been crying.
"Good lord, look at all the bruises. Where and with whom did you tussle?"
"I was looking for tourmalines on the top floor in the Tower of Riga. There were a couple of death knights that were formed and they laid into me. Samson offered to help. It was nice of him to do that," Moonbeamer said.
Right after the battle she had talked to Valhalla and had been assured that the things would get better.
"You just concentrate on getting better. Don’t worry about leveling or anything," Valhalla had said.
But Moonbeamer couldn’t help herself. She was a worrier. She wanted to multi-class and she didn’t want to buy tourms from anyone. She wanted to show the Alyrian world that she could make it all on her own. It was nice of Samson to offer to help though, she thought.
She began crying again as she remembered the pain and the temporary setback of being slain and having to visit that dreadful Mordred, he was always moaning for some reason. One minute, everything was going as planned, her goal was in sight, and suddenly she was dead. The thought of having to start all over again from the bottom of the Tower of Riga to get all the way back to the top, braving the traps, the mobs, the dizzy rooms. She began sobbing.
She had just finished the last of her levels in first class and had been planning to get at least three hundred forty nine quests. Some guy from Midwinter Equinox had talked to her a bit telling her to forget about quest marks and do a thousand quests first class. A thousand quests seemed awful long to her. If she couldn‘t survive Verity what use would it be to try second class. Being a Halfling wizard wasn’t all bad. The spells were nice. Having low hit points seemed to be a drawback though, she thought.
She hadn’t noticed that the death knights were formed. They had often given a good number of tourms when slain. She had gotten a couple of manuals too with one coming from a death knight and the other from an ariel illusionist. The battle had gone well with the first knight but she had run out of steam for the second knight and it ended up getting a killing blow. She hadn’t realized she was so badly hurt until she tried to cast ‘magic dart’ and couldn’t. She vaguely remembered Samson drifting in from the west and then wishing her comfort after she had been killed.
Verity Isle, where the Tower of Riga is, has been a mainstay for first class tourming. They say you have to have two hundred fifty tourms in order to change from one class to another. It costs thirty five thousand gold pieces to get into and out of the area. It isn’t a hard challenge for most players but can be very annoying. Studded with dizzy rooms and traps it takes patience to get to the top floor. It’s rumored that if you get to the top and then find and defeat an ancient ariel that you can then visit Cassandra and get a reward. It wasn’t too hard for Moonbeamer to get to the top but she hadn’t found the ancient ariel yet. She had brought some food, water, lights, and some wands of silencing thinking they might come in handy. She had gotten a good deal on some twisted wooden wands that cast fireball and some rods with a rusty star that cast ‘lightning bolt’ also.
As she thought of the people she had met in the tower she smiled of one of them in particular. Samson was there almost every time she had been so far. He always seemed pleased to see her and had offered to help her on more than one occasion. She had smiled and made small conversation with him but she was shy with boys and didn’t know if she could trust him. She had looked at his information in the database and had seen that he was a dracon rogue. He certainly didn’t seem to have any problems getting to the top of the tower. He seemed extremely polite. He told her strange stories about growing up in the brood. She questioned if some of them were entirely true, but she did enjoy listening to him talk. He had a touch of a Beltanian drawl, which became more pronounced when he was telling one of his stories.
Moonbeamer had mistaken his friendliness for something more until one morning she saw another girl kissing him in the hallway.
"Taken, of course," she had thought. "The first boy in a long time that I’ve been even mildly interested in, and he’s taken."
She must have been musing out loud because she heard Valhalla saying, "I don‘t know Samson but he must have made an impression."
Tears once again welled up in her eyes and she had trouble keeping them under control.
"It‘s alright," Valhalla said, patting Moonbeamer’s hand. "maybe it wasn’t what you thought it was. Maybe she was a sister or something."
"Oh, I hate this," Moonbeamer sobbed, openly crying. "You’re so kind and wonderful. I’m so lucky to have your friendship!"
"He must have really made an impression," Valhalla said with a sly smile. "He sounds like a real gentleman."
"Don’t I know it," Moonbeamer thought to herself after Valhalla left. "I hope his girlfriend appreciates what a good man she has."
A few days later, Moonbeamer went back to Verity Isle. She had quested a bit and raised her hit points to four hundred twenty. She had also bought a Necronomicon to use for the sanctuary it cast. "Maybe I‘ll have better luck this time," Moonbeamer laughed as she approached the door of the tower. She was glad to be gathering tourms, even if it meant getting battered around by the traps and the mobs.
"Welcome back, Moonbeamer," someone yelled. She checked where and Bunko was there at the entrance with Samson and Slipper. Longnose and Humpleg where somewhere in the tower. Samson was holding the hand of the girl, Slipper, the one that Moonbeamer recognized from the from the hallway.
"Let‘s form and gather some tourms," Bunko yelled, waving his lance around.. "I‘ll form," someone yelled.
Samson looked at Moonbeamer and beckoned her to follow him.
Slipper smiled and nodded.
Deciding to take a chance Moonbeamer accepted the invitation. "Hello, Slipper this is Moonbeamer. Moonbeamer this is Slipper,“ Samson said to the form, “Are you ready?”
She was distracted as Bunko went further into the tower.
“Thank you, yes," Moonbeamer said. "I don’t believe we’ve met," she said, smiling at Samson’s girlfriend.
"Well, I was just getting to that. This is my sister Slipper. She’s been helping me conquer the Tower of Riga. She’s more efficient than me, but I get the job done."
Slipper gave her brother a playful punch in the arm and a warm smile. The affection between them was obvious, but Moonbeamer couldn’t hide her surprise.
"Sh… She is your sister?" Moonbeamer stammered. "Wh…"
"We started out together. When Samson told me about you, I thought it was a great idea for you two to work together for a while. I’ve already seen Cassandra and it will certainly make Samson happy. He talks about you all the time. I feel like we’re old friends…" Slipper’s voice trailed out the door as she joined the others.
Samson sat down on the ground and surprised Moonbeamer even further by kissing her.
"You must have seen that coming for a long time," he said. "I can’t believe you didn’t know how I’ve felt about you. I’ve been so obvious. Lots of times I could have passed by without speaking but I stopped because I wanted to see you, if only for a few minutes. I should have been out of here early on a lot of days, but I hung around to catch you.
"Then when you had been slain I had to do something. I was afraid you’d go somewhere else, and I’d lose you.,” Samson said eagerly.
Samson was kissing her again.
"But I thought…,” and her thoughts trailed off.

"Welcome back, Moonbeamer," someone yelled. She checked where and Bunko was there at the entrance with Samson and Slipper. Longnose and Humpleg where somewhere in the tower. Samson was holding the hand of the girl, Slipper, the one that Moonbeamer recognized from the from the hallway.
"Let‘s form and gather some tourms," Bunko yelled, waving his lance around.. "I‘ll form," someone yelled.
Samson looked at Moonbeamer and beckoned her to follow him.
Slipper smiled and nodded.
Deciding to take a chance Moonbeamer accepted the invitation. "Hello, Slipper this is Moonbeamer. Moonbeamer this is Slipper,“ Samson said to the form, “Are you ready?”
She was distracted as Bunko went further into the tower.
“Thank you, yes," Moonbeamer said. "I don’t believe we’ve met," she said, smiling at Samson’s girlfriend.
"Well, I was just getting to that. This is my sister Slipper. She’s been helping me conquer the Tower of Riga. She’s more efficient than me, but I get the job done."
Slipper gave her brother a playful punch in the arm and a warm smile. The affection between them was obvious, but Moonbeamer couldn’t hide her surprise.
"Sh… She is your sister?" Moonbeamer stammered. "Wh…"
"We started out together. When Samson told me about you, I thought it was a great idea for you two to work together for a while. I’ve already seen Cassandra and it will certainly make Samson happy. He talks about you all the time. I feel like we’re old friends…" Slipper’s voice trailed out the door as she joined the others.
Samson sat down on the ground and surprised Moonbeamer even further by kissing her.
"You must have seen that coming for a long time," he said. "I can’t believe you didn’t know how I’ve felt about you. I’ve been so obvious. Lots of times I could have passed by without speaking but I stopped because I wanted to see you, if only for a few minutes. I should have been out of here early on a lot of days, but I hung around to catch you.
"Then when you had been slain I had to do something. I was afraid you’d go somewhere else, and I’d lose you.,” Samson said eagerly.
Samson was kissing her again.
"But I thought…,” and her thoughts trailed off.

Sophia's Deal
Seems like there is one in every city in Alyria that I had visited so far. Little shops of various sizes buying and selling things common and rare. The prices didn’t seem fair but seems like I usually got more than when I tried to auction the item unless it was in demand. I had seen this magic shop several times as I had passed by. There was always something funny or weird or strange hanging near the entrance; blue orb, a funny looking wand, an evil looking staff, sometimes a feather or a brightly colored scroll.
I had never thought of entering the tent. It was kind of tucked out of the way in the Market area. It seemed kind of odd because the only things nearby were Weapons Galore and Saint Ruth’s Cathedral. Sophia, that is what folks called the shop keeper, was a nice but somewhat strange elderly gnome. Gnomes are somewhat short tempered and I never wanted to get too close for fear that she might use a teal rawhide scroll on me or some such.
One day me and John were spending the day chasing ducks on Lake Martoon when Pete happened by saying he was going to unload a bunch of old scrolls in the clan hall. We followed him the short distance to the clan hall and watched as he pulled scroll after scroll from a dream cloud. He had a ton of scrolls too. All different colors some of which I knew and some that neither I nor John knew.
“P, what are all the scrolls for?” John asked.
“Whatever you want to do with them,” Pete answered.
“I have most of the spells I need scribed already,” I said.
“Me too,” said John.
“Give ‘em away or sell ‘em, whatever you want to do with them,” Pete said, “I have to go.” Suddenly Pete vanished.
Great, I thought, we can make a good bit of gold if we sell them. I started gathering up scrolls and so did John. I ended up with a kente scroll, a rose-colored cotton scroll, platinum-colored scroll, a cobalt blue scroll, a stiff crinoline scroll, a glossy yellow-green scroll, a mottled vomit-yellow scroll, and an opalescent blue scroll. John got a rose-colored cotton scroll, a platinum-colored scroll, a glossy yellow-green scroll, two smudged sticky scrolls, and a brittle feuillemort scroll.
I had visited Shadow Castle earlier in the week and had gotten a personality manual and a wisdom manual along with a few large black pearls from the Sorceress. I got a wand of magic darts from the apprentice sorceress as well. I had tried to sell that wand everywhere. I auctioned it and no one wanted it. I took it to Potions & Lore and to Best Pawn in New Rigel and to the Antique Shop and Grimaldi’s Magic Shop in Rune and to Jeldar’s Pawn Shop in Tellerium and no one would buy it. It seemed a waste to destroy it so I held onto it.
“Where are you gonna sell your stuff at?” I asked John.
“I’m going to try Pirate’s Cove and Maldra‘s Keep” said John.
“Why so far away?” I asked.
“I’m going there anyway,” John said , “I kind of like going to Maldra’s Keep now.”
“I’m going to stay closer to home,” I said, “maybe Sophia will buy my stuff.”
“You be careful of that old one,” John said with a scowl, “that old gnome isn’t to be trusted. You know how everyone in the city is leery of her.”
I nodded.
“I will be careful,” I said with a touch of fear in my voice.
I waved to John just before he vanished to his home. I put all my scrolls in my second gnomish miners bag not wanting to mix those with the items I already had in my first bag.
I made my way to Templeton and as I was crossing the Flaran plains a centaur ranger attacked me. I was unprepared too not having memorized my spells before I left the clan hall. Fortunately I had grown enough and had recently purchased decent armor so that the ranger’s attack barely phased me. I bashed him in the head with my footman’s mace and went on my way to Templeton.
A sailor’s haven Templeton is. I love the smell of the salt in the air along with the various dock smells. The city’s janitors were a little relaxed with their work. Piles of trash were everywhere and I don’t know which was more popular between the sewer rats, the fat cats, or the Persian cats. I had heard a rumor that a village had been created north of Templeton to alleviate the trash concerns but as yet it hasn’t seemed to help.
I made my way up Seabreeze Lane and then past the checkpoint with the gate guards on Stenas Road. I was glad for the guards and the many town guards too. The gang situation is horrendous in Templeton. Seems like several times a day I have to run for my life when I’m here running errands for Lady Templeton or Lord Tellerium. I heard singing as I passed the Cathedral of Saint Ruth and rounded the corner to see once again Sophia Clearsight’s Magical Aura shop. A dingy tent tucked into a corner of the market square.
I pushed flap open and a spooky sounding bell signaled my entrance. The shop wasn’t well lit. I stood there letting my eyes adjust to the darkness. Smoke wafting across the shop made it that much harder to see. Shapes and images began to become clearer. I could make out baskets and shelves and drums full of this and that, a fern plant, some sparkling stones, some powder that had a yellowish tinge, along with some rainbowish looking gems, and in the bookcase various colors and types of scrolls.
“May I help you,” Sophia asked startling me.
“Ye, yes,” I stammered as I took out the wand and the pearls.
I laid them on the desk and Sophia picked up first one and then the other to look at them. She gingerly picked up the wand and gazed intently at it. Finally she gave a little nod as if she had came to a decision.
“I’ll give you $50,000 for the wand and the three pearls,” she said.
“Okay,” I chirped with astonishment.
“Is that all you have?” she asked.
“N, no,” I managed to stammer.
I opened the bag I had put the scrolls in. I turned the bag over to get out all the scrolls and they dropped onto a small desk and some fell onto the floor.
“Tsk, tsk,” Sophia snapped sharply, “that is no way to handle magic. You want me to buy stuff you’d let fall into the dirt and grime?”
“I’m sorry,” I offered meekly.
“Well, take better care young one,” Sophia said, “let’s just see what you have here.”
“Yes, yes these will do nicely,” Sophia said with a glint in her eye.
“Are they worth anything,” I asked hopefully.
“I will give you $7500 for them, do you think that is fair?” Sophia asked.
I looked at the scrolls trying to fathom what they were and what they might be worth. I didn’t have a clue about some of them. What was it that people had said about Sophia? Was she fair? Was she to be trusted?
Deciding to take a chance I said, “I don’t know what they are worth honestly. I came here hoping to get some money. Will you help me?”
Shaking her head Sophia turned and went to the back of the tent where there was an old cast iron stove. With a sigh she beckoned me back and motioned toward a stool next to the stove.
“You will have to be more cautious in Alyria if you hope to have any money in the future,” said Sophia.
With her cane she deftly hooked the opalescent blue colored scroll.
“This one is worth millions I’m told,” Sophia said, “and I could have easily given you a pittance for it and you would have been none the wiser.”
She poked the pile and found the nasty yellow one.
“This one is worth a good bit as well. I’ve heard people have paid a million or two for it.“ Sophia said, “I don’t have nearly that much to offer you. I will however do this. I will buy the rest of the scrolls and I will offer my services to train you to recognize the value of items in exchange for this ugly yellow scroll. You may keep the opalescent blue colored one to sell for a better price. Does this seem a fair trade to you?”
“Why me?” I asked.
Sophia looked into the fire sadly it seemed and said, “I have lived in this city for years. I’ve bought and sold from both the travelers and the city folk. I’ve earned a good name and yet the people here still don’t trust me. I’m old and don’t have any younglings and will be leaving for my home soon. I want to pass my knowledge on to someone who will use it wisely. You came in and you trusted me and that is reason enough for me.”
“Can I give you an answer later?”, I asked.
“Yes,” Sophia said peering intently at me, “you have until the end of the week.”
Sophia got up and took a safe that had been hidden out from behind the desk. She deftly counted out $7500 and gave it to me along with the ugly yellow scroll and the rainbow colored one. I stuck both scrolls in my bag and the gold into an old piggy bank I carry with me and I made for the door.
“I hope to see you soon,” Sophia called out just before the flap closed.

The more I thought about it the more convinced I became that a merchant’s skill would be very useful in the days to come.

A Pirate’s Life

"Permission to come aboard, Sir!" John called to his friend George. Before him stood a pirate ship, christened Neptune’s Saber which was painted in old high Elf on the side below the bow. George had hoisted the flag Clan Midwinter Equinox.
Mary's face appeared over the bow. "Ahoy, Matey! Come on up. Wait until you see what George brought! It's so cool!"
John climbed up the plank and jumped down into the ship. Captain George had on a pirate captain's hat and had a obsidian thunder cutlass strapped to his waist. He was bent over a strong oaken box that had once held tourmalines, sorting through a pile of clothes.
"What's that?" John asked.
"Pirate costumes." George stood up, and John could see he had a gold earring pinned to his hat. "What do you think?"
John whistled admiringly. "Why didn't you pierce your ear?"
"Dunno, I couldn't figure out how to put it on my ear." He took off the earring and held it out. "I brought you one too."
Mary crawled out from the galley, dragging a bag with her. "I packed some snacks. Anyone want a cookie?" She had also put on a jester's costume, with a beautiful scarf wrapped around her neck and blue silk balloon pants tied tight at the ankle.
"Who're you supposed to be?" John tried not to laugh.
"I'm a pirate! I just took my sword off because it got in my way."
"Those cookies summon elementals!" George exclaimed with a frown, "I hope you have something else."
John picked a gold bandana and tied it over his head and added a tattered eye patch pinning the earring George had given him to it. Then he tucked a dagger of death in his Darkland belt; now he felt like a real pirate.
"Let's cast off." George climbed up to the forecastle with his bronze spyglass. "Ship anchor."
"Aye, aye Captain." John pulled in the line that had been tied to the pier.
Mary lifted the gangplank, pulled it in, and they set sail.
Soon Captain George called the crew to climb up and see what he saw. Looking through the spyglass, John could see another ship on the horizon. Mary saw it too, bearing down on them from towards the whirlpool.
"Prepare for battle!" called Captain George. "I wonder what treasure they bring us?"
Excitement filled the air as the crew drug out the cannons and pointed them through portholes. Then Mary revealed her secret weapon; she had filled the hold with leather pouches of sulfur mix and black powder! Now they could use the fire-launcher.
"Let's put some by each porthole so we can attack from anywhere," she suggested.
"Ship rigging combat," yelled George.
"Okay," agreed George, "but let's bring some up here too." They distributed their ammunition. Just in time too! The enemy ship was almost upon them!
"I'll man the harpoons," said Mary.
"I'll oversee the other weapons," John said with a hard stare.
"Ship target merchantman," George yelled. "Ship fire harpoon!"
The harpoon banks fired with one hitting and one missing. Now the merchantman was tethered.
"Ship fire fire-launcher," screamed George. The fire-launcher spewed fire across the merchantman.
"Ship fire basic, ship fire medium, ship fire heavy-cannon, ship fire light, ship fire heavy-ballista" George ticked off the weapons banks. Cannon balls and wooden bolts ripped into the merchantman.
The merchantman was taking heavy damage and putting up little resistance. Smoke was rolling off the deck and the ship began listing to port. Suddenly it broke free from the tether and began a run to patrolled waters.
"Ship fire harpoon," yelled George fearing the ship would get away.
John who was near the fore yelled, "Good shot Mary, both harpoons landed."
Mary screamed "Let's reel her in, Cap‘n!"
George yelled "Ship fire light-ballista, ship fire basic, ship fire medium, ship fire heavy-cannon, ship fire fire."
The various banks fired off and the merchantman had nought a chance. Suddenly there was a loud crack as the mast gave way. The ship rolled over to it's port side and the battle was over. Treasure began floating away from the wreckage.
"Ship salvage," exclaimed John, "Let's see what we can get."
The nets were let out and pulled in. Inside the nets were a large steamer trunk along with other bits and pieces. A couple of soggy scrolls and a book bound in heavy leather fell to the floor of the hold. Inside the trunk there was gold, ship weapon supplies, and jugs of rum. He and Mary saved the rum and the gold and had the workers store the supplies.
"What book is that John," Mary asked.
"It says it's a manual of luck," said John, "Do you need it? I have enough luck."
Mary beamed with a smile and said, "Thanks!"
John said, "Thank you for the good shots. George what scrolls were those? I need some priestly scrolls."
George, who was shaking water out of the scrolls peered at them intently and soon it became clear what they were. One was a smudged sticky scroll and the other was a mottled vomit-yellow scroll, both of which were worthless for a priest.
"Not your day for luck," snickered George.
"This calls for a celebration, mates. Mary, didn't you say something about food," Captain George asked.
"Yes sir." Mary opened her bag and passed around some apples.
John opened the rum, "Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!" he sang.
Captain George poked the Mary with the tip of his sword. "You did good with those harpoons. You want to be a regular crewman?"
Mary shook her head, "I want to explore Alyria. Maybe I will buy a ship of my own one day."
"We could use her in the clan," suggested John. "Maybe she doesn't want to be a pirate but she can be a clannie."
"I can do that," answered Mary. She took out a cookie and ate it.
Suddenly a huge water elemental appeared splashing water all over the deck and all over John and Rebellion and which joined Mary who grinned evilly.
"Eww, a salt sea shower. Yuck!" complained John.
"Okay, Mary has to walk the plank, to pay for spraying us!" commanded Captain George.
John propped the gangplank over the side.
George said, "Ship plank Mary, ship plank elemental," and before either could react both were dumped into the sea.
They let Mary back on board, gave her a towel, and told her she was Acolyte Mary.
Sailing on through the Arcanian Isles, they reached Sigil just as John had to leave for work.
Waving goodbye, he called, "Tomorrow let's sail to Decara!"

I was sailing to Sigil a few days ago from Templeton in my new Corsair ship trying to set a course around Wiz Isle, through the Arcanian isles, north of Beltane. I was fine when I got on the boat. I had the ship set on auto and was cruising well and I dosed off. I woke up a bit later having crashed into some island I didn't see charted so I reset the course and then a few minutes later felt the urge to poo.
Having no latrine on the ship and not wanting to flash my goods to the natives as I passed the various land masses I held it. It took longer and longer and I held it and held it. Dam if the winds didnt change and come out of the southwest and I had my engine set to sail. I thought about changing course and going to PC or to Arcane but I dont remember seeing toilets at either place. I clamped my cheeks together and hoped for the best.
With my ship moving slower than cold molasses and my urges getting stronger and stronger I froze. Too much movement and I'd have an accident and would never live down the shame of splattering poo all over my deck. I didn't want to walk around cause you know it makes poo wanna move too.
Finally I could see the coast of Avros and I thought dam I was gonna make it when suddenly I felt the floodgates unleash. I poo'd all in my undies, in my pants, in my shoes, across the deck. I left a trail of poo on the pier and into Sigil. Every step I took some poo dropped out. I was duckin my head trying to avoid everyones gaze as I left a trail of poo all the way to Vendredi to get a quest.
Vendredi sniffed the air, frowned, sniffed again, looked at me and dam if he didn't zot me. Suddenly I was whisked away to Timeout room #1 and Celestia zotted me again. Now I was silenced and had pants full of poo and felt so miserable inside. Celestia started laughing and other imms appeared in the room and they started laughing at me too. When I was released from timeout I received a voucher for a toilet for my house from anonymous and a letter from Vassago saying that if I ever stunk up his game again I'd be noemoted for life.
Dam text worlds without proper toilets installed.
